A tongue piercing is not considered tooth-friendly. The metal jewelry can cause damage to the teeth and gums by constantly hitting against them, leading to chipped or cracked teeth, gum recession, and even tooth loss. Additionally, the piercing can harbor bacteria that can lead to oral infections and other complications.
