Crows are highly intelligent birds, known for their problem-solving abilities and complex social behaviors. They have been observed using tools, recognizing human faces, and even exhibiting a form of play behavior. Crows are also capable of learning from their experiences and passing on knowledge to other crows, demonstrating a high level of cognitive ability. Their intelligence has been compared to that of a 7-year-old human child. **

Crows are known to be opportunistic feeders and will hunt small birds, including pigeons, if given the opportunity. They are intelligent and agile birds, capable of ambushing and catching unsuspecting prey. While hunting pigeons may not be their primary source of food, crows have been observed preying on them in urban and suburban areas where both species coexist. **

No, crows cannot use smartphones in the same way that humans do. While crows are highly intelligent birds and have been known to use tools and solve complex problems, they do not have the physical dexterity or cognitive abilities to operate a smartphone. However, researchers have been studying the cognitive abilities of crows and other corvids, and it is possible that they could be trained to interact with simple touchscreen devices for research purposes. **

Crows caw for a variety of reasons, including to communicate with other crows, to establish territory, to warn of potential danger, and to attract a mate. Cawing is a form of vocalization that allows crows to convey information and maintain social bonds within their group. Additionally, cawing can also serve as a way for crows to assert their presence and dominance in their environment. **

Yes, crows do eat stones. They are known to ingest small stones or pebbles, a behavior known as "stone swallowing" or "stone ingestion." This behavior is believed to help crows with digestion by grinding up food in their gizzards. It also helps them to break down tough materials like seeds and shells. **

There are several methods to repel crows. One way is to use scare tactics such as hanging shiny objects, using noise makers, or installing scarecrows in the area. Another method is to remove any food sources that may be attracting the crows, such as garbage or pet food. Additionally, using visual deterrents like predator decoys or motion-activated sprinklers can also help to repel crows from an area. **

To attract crows, you can try offering them food such as unsalted peanuts, cracked corn, or mealworms in a designated feeding area. Crows are also attracted to shiny objects, so placing some shiny trinkets or objects in your yard may catch their attention. Additionally, crows are intelligent birds and are known to respond to calls and vocalizations, so imitating their calls or playing recordings of crow sounds may help attract them to your area. Remember to be patient and consistent in your efforts to attract crows. **

Feeding crows can be a fun and rewarding experience. You can offer them a variety of foods such as unsalted peanuts, cooked rice, or small pieces of fruit. It's best to place the food in a designated feeding area, such as a platform or tray, to make it easier for the crows to access. Additionally, consistency is key - try to feed them at the same time each day to establish a routine and build trust with the birds. Remember to avoid feeding them anything harmful or unhealthy, such as processed foods or items that could be a choking hazard. **
