Objectives

The main objective in this step is to create a common scientific platform for the entire study. This platform consists of four essential elements:

1. The relationship between the individual and institutional approaches, where our position is to combine these two perspectives in a methodical triangulation, where changes in behaviour by individuals is the dependent variable.
2. Clarification of the barriers for change
3. Discussion of the energy regimes in the countries involved in the project as far as the following elements are concerned:

1. Composition of national energy resources, import/export
2. The role of renewables
3. Price level and price structure
4. Monopolisation and competition

4. Discussion of the empirical specifications:

1. Domestic energy in houses and flats
2. Households appliances and the role energy labels
3. Reduction of fuel in vehicles, change of energy carrier
